Corn Chowder

Ingredients

  • 2 (10.5 oz) bags of Hanover Foods Purple Line Super Sweet Corn
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can of Hanover Foods Savory Chicken Broth
  • 2 tablespoons of margarine
  • 1 cup of chopped onions
  • 1/2 cup of chopped celery
  • 1-1/2 cups of diced potatoes
  • 1/8 teaspoon of black pepper
  • fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup of flour
  • 2 cups of skim milk

Directions

  1. Combine margarine, onions and celery in a 3-quart heavy saucepan; sauté until tender.
  2. Add potatoes, chicken broth and seasonings. Simmer for 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
  3. Add sweet corn and cook an additional 3 minutes. Combine flour with milk and stir until smooth.
  4. Add mixture to vegetables and heat until chowder thickens, stirring frequently.
  5. Garnish with fresh parsley.
    Serves 8.
