INSTRUCTIONS

1. Prepare spinach according to package instructions. Empty into mixing bowl – allow to cool until no longer piping hot.
2. Stir in onion, seasonings, eggs, and cream.
3. Pour into buttered pie pan or casserole dish and sprinkle the grated cheese on top evenly.
4. Bake at 350 F for 35 minutes or until a sharp knife inserted in center comes out clean. It should be fluffy and slightly browned.

While this is vegetarian, feel free to add ham, bacon or a favorite protein. You can also add other vegetables but then cut back on the cream so the mixture absorbs the moisture in your extra veggies.

  • 1 10 oz. package Hanover Foods Steak House Style Creamed Spinach
  • 2 Tablespoons chopped onion
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 4 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup light cream or half-and-half
  • 3/4 cup grated Cheddar, Swiss or Gruyere cheese
  • Option: Thinly sliced onion, shallot or chives for the top
