Hanover Foods Classic Hummus

Classic hummus is best described as a smooth, creamy, and savory. It is traditionally made from a blend of chickpeas (garbanzo beans), tahini (sesame paste), lemon juice, garlic, and olive oil.  Serve with pita, fresh veggies, pretzels, or spread on sandwiches and wraps.

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Add garbanzo beans, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and salt into a food processor.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Add cold water, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired creamy consistency.
  4. Taste and adjust salt or lemon juice if needed.
  5. Spoon into a bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and top with paprika, parsley, or whole chickpeas.

  • 1 15.5 ounce can Hanover Foods Garbanzo Beans, drained and rinsed
  • ¼ cup tahini
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (plus more for topping)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1–2 cloves garlic
  • ½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 2–4 tablespoons cold water (as needed)
