INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 400°.
  2. Wash and slice strawberries.
  3. Combine pretzels, brown sugar and melted butter.
  4. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and then spread the pretzels mixture on the sheet in an even layer.
  5. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes and watch it carefully so it doesn’t burn.
  6. Remove from oven, stir, and set aside to cool.
  7. Whip the cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla together until it’s fluffy.
  8. Gently fold in whipped topping.
  9. Layer the cream cheese, fruit, another layer of cream cheese and pretzels in a serving dish or into cups. You can also serve in separate bowls and let your guests put the dessert together.
  10. Top with an extra tub of Cool Whip or whipped cream if desired.

Ingredients

Pretzel Layer

  • 4 cups Wege salted little pretzels or sticks, roughly crushed
  • 1 ½ sticks (¾ cup) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar

Cream Cheese Layer

  • Two 8 oz packages of cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • Two 8 oz tubs of Cool Whip

Fruit Layer

  • 3 cups fresh strawberries, diced
  • 1 cup fresh whipped cream or extra thawed whipped topping (for garnish)
